Ubisoft
So you want to delete or reset your Ubisoft account? Let's help you with that!
Our system has detected one of two potential issues:
-
Compromised Password: The password you use for your Ubisoft account has been found in a known data breach, making it insecure and putting your game library and personal data at risk.
-
Use of Work Email: Your work email is being used for a personal gaming account, which is against company policy to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
Please follow the relevant instructions below to resolve this issue immediately.
Part 1: Scenario: Your Password Has Been Compromised
If you were notified about a compromised password, you must change it immediately to protect your account and your games. The fastest way to do this is using the password reset feature.
Step-by-Step Guide:
-
Navigate to the Password Reset Page: Go directly to the Ubisoft password reset page.
-
Enter Your Email Address: Enter the email address associated with your Ubisoft account and click "Submit".
-
Check Your Email: Ubisoft will send a password reset link to your inbox. If you don't see it, be sure to check your spam or junk folder.
-
Create a New, Strong Password: Open the email and click the unique reset link. Create a new password that is strong and includes a mix of characters. For added security, we highly recommend enabling 2-Step Verification in your account's "Security" settings after you log back in.
After completing this, your account will be secure.
If you were also notified about using a work email, please proceed to Part 2.
Part 2: Scenario: Your Work Email is Used on the Account
Using a company email for a personal gaming service is against Aftra's security policy. You have two options to resolve this.
Option A: Change the Email on Your Account (Recommended)
This is the best option if you wish to keep your Ubisoft account, your games, and all your progress.
-
Log In and Go to Account Information: Log in to the Ubisoft account management site. Navigate to the "Account information" tab.
-
Edit Your Private Information: In the "Private information" section, click the "Edit" button.
-
Start the Change Process: Next to your email address, click "Change". Ubisoft will send a security code to your current work email to verify your identity.
-
Enter and Verify Your New Email: After entering the security code, you will be prompted to enter your new personal email address. Ubisoft will then send a final verification link to your new email to complete the change.
Option B: Permanently Delete Your Account
If you no longer need the account, you can close it permanently.
Warning: This action is irreversible after 30 days. You will permanently lose access to all PC games, downloadable content (DLC), in-game items, and saved progress. This action cannot be undone once the grace period is over.
-
Go to Account Information: Follow Step 1 from Option A to access the "Account information" tab.
-
Start the Deletion Process: Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section "Close your Ubisoft account" and click the "Close" button.
-
Confirm via Email: Read the detailed warning page carefully and tick the box to acknowledge the consequences. Ubisoft will then send a confirmation link to your email address.
-
Final Grace Period: Clicking the link in the email will suspend your account for 30 days. If you do nothing, the account will be permanently deleted after this period. You can cancel the deletion during these 30 days by using the recovery link in the same email.
Thank you for taking prompt action to secure your account and comply with your company's security policies.
